Kordt Sisters. Else, Grethe and Inga Kordt. Very popular Danish jazz vocal trio between 1940-49. They were inspired of the American Boswell Sisters and Andrew Sisters. Made several 78rpm recordings on the Danish record compagny Polyphon, and also a few on Odeon after WW2. All were very active in Danish jazz life during 1930'ies. Grethe Kordt was married to the Danish jazz pioneer Bernhard Christensen. Else Kordt already made her very first 78rpm jazz record as 9 years old in 1935. She recorded "Visen om Mickey Mouse" from Bernhard Christensens jazz oratoriun "Trompetkvadet". Here Kordt Sisters are singing Tiger Rag of La Rocca on a 78rpm Danish Polyphon record from 1942.
